It's already challenging as is on insane/nightmare. But I agree, more customization options for sandboxes are nice  You should check out the Deadfall server. It has random wandering hordes all over and tons of custom special zombies that pose different threats than just the vanilla ones. Tweaks lament is a PVP server with custom zombies the gravedigger zombie takes 100 pistol shots, 60 hunting rifle shots, 2 molotovs, and 4 blunderbuss shots to kill but awards 24k XP. I put horde every 2 days, perhaps with your parameters, I would not need it. One of my complaints about this game is that there are not enough zombies in cities I did the same thing with my gam. Made bigger cities, and only had maybe one or two on the map. Read u/Teyekip 's comment. You can alter spawn values for biomes. I can't help but notice your graphics settings are super low. Maybe it would be laggier with the higher res textures. It wouldn't surprise me if they opted for fewer zombies that look amazing over many zombies that look like blobs. Which those do. Sure I can tell what ones are what because I have played so long, but they don't look scary at all. It definitely would, or if it were a multiplayer session. I did a night 7 last night with about that many dropping in each wave and was getting terrible frame drop on 5700XT and Ryzen 7 3800. It sounds like you have messed with the numbers at least a little.  If doing this use a program like Notepad++ makes reading it easier. Can this be done on a dedicated server? I kinda want to up the spawns a tiny bit as well as the animal spawns. Have an upvote; just changed my dedicated spawn rates. Should be a nice surprise for my players. You know, I like doing this but I just wish there was a way to only up the spawns in cities. I like having a lot in cities, it fits but seeing so many in the wilderness breaks the immersion for me. Only dangerous thing is the blood moon and it's relatively easy once you get a good setup running, I haven't had any issue on day 14 moon having a house that is literally a block of wood, it's composed of two stories and a vertical ladder to access the ceiling, no zombie has ever crossed the vertical ladder and they need relatively long to break through the door since I shoot them from the roof You can mess with the values in here pretty easily, it's generally self-explanatory if you have basic reading skills. Haven't played the game in 2 years or more. Recently played it again and spawned near a city but I couldn't do any looting safely. Tried checking out some homes outside the city and they were just as dangerous. I don't know how a cabin in the woods always has a family of 15 living in it. That was the best actually.
