But if I don't worry about being a cliche, my mom

But if I don't worry about being a cliche, my mom. She raised me alone after escaping her toxic relationship with my father, and growing up in Idaho with my suite of mental health issues, I could've been on the fast track to a lethal "exorcism" or something comparable. But she did her damnedest to get me the help I needed. I had a music teacher in elementary school that wasn't really popular with a lot of kids because she was a little on the strict side. However if you showed a legitimate interest in music and didn't disrupt the class, it was pretty easy to stay on her good side. She had a kind heart and if she saw a student was struggling and actually trying, she went out of her way to give them encouragement.

My mom. She adopted both me and my brother from Russia, me in 98

My mom. She adopted both me and my brother from Russia, me in 98 and my brother in 02. Shes a single woman, but she wanted kids. She paid an exorbitant amount for the two of us, 75k each. Just imagine most people have kids for free but she wanted to raise kids so much she would throw her retirement savings in the hole so she could experience the joys and pains of being a mother. And let me tell you neither me or my brother have been easy or cheap. But she continues to believe in me every day, even after I fucked up so much. I will never not think she's the greatest woman ever. The amount of pain I've put her through, being an addict, it hurts me but she's stood by me no matter what. It goes to show that love is not biological. You can love something like your own even if you're not related via DNA. Thanks for everything mom, I will rue the day you leave me bu t I just want to let you know that you will always be my role model. My mom. She adopted both me and my brothe

Her diary, Ekattorer Dingulee (days of '71), written during the Bangladesh Liberation War captured the essence of the struggle. Her son Rumi fought in the war, was interrogated and killed. Same happened to her other son. Her husband was also detained and interrogated with him returning a broken man and dying 3 days after. She is referred to as 'Shaheed Janani' (mother of martyrs) as a symbol of all the mothers whose children died fighting for Bangladesh's freedom in the war. Following the war, she spent her life trying to bring the killers and collaborators who betrayed Bangladesh and assisted the genocide and genocidal rape during th

Virginia Woolf. Mrs. Dalloway is my favorite book, and it's not close. That shit fucking slaps. For someone more modern Cori Bush. In my area of expertise (math) Amie Wilkinson who is easily one of the greatest living mathematicians and Moon Duchin , who is using math to study and quantify gerrymandering so that we can hopefully, you know, reduce it. A fictional character and probably not much of a big deal, but as a Star Wars fan, it’s been Ahsoka Tano for me. It’s been amazing and inspiring seeing her character develop from a young an inexperienced and proud Jedi parawan to a full fledged general capable of learning from their mistakes and being one of the most compassionate Jedi ever.A queen of a small indian kingdom whose name I can't recall at the moment. She took over after her husband's death, defying the horrific fate that awaited women whose husbands died back then. She then successfully defended her kingdom from British-allied local rivals by forming a female mil

My Fiance. She worked solo all year last year providing for our family while I dealt with the hell that was and still is Covid-19. She is a nurse for special needs children and she made sure those kids were safe and happy all year whilst working 12 sometimes 24+ hour shifts and then coming home and being an amazing partner and helping around the house, when she certainly doesn't need to. She's my hero, and she's an absolute warrior. I wish I had half her strength and compassion. Sounds like bullshit but my wife. Survived her parents separating and her mother spiraling into alcoholism and drug abuse while her dad abandoned them. Found her moms junky boyfriend hung in the basement and ended up having to go to therapy and living with her grandmother for about 6 months all while having to help raise her younger brother THEN when we got together we helped raise her nephews for a few years while we were younger because her sister was a junkie. On top of that her cousin who was

Way he carries himself stands, moves, smiles, it is almost unrecognizable role-to-role. There's nothing of his Downton Abbey character in his Legion character, and nothing of either in his The Guest character.More of a thriller but a fun movie. Dan Stevens is a treat in this movie. The soundtrack is very cool too, sometimes doesn’t match the film but I didn’t mindI'm not sure where the distinction is between horror and thriller, but based on usage I've seen if horror requires including something sci-fi, fantasy, or supernatural & thriller is suspenseful but lacking any of those elements I think it falls under the former. That was. I love both movies and she has stayed on my radar ever sincePS: it was super strange but rewarding watching Dan Stevens play a British aristocrat for 3 seasons in Downton Abby and then turn around and do something like this. He’s a great actor just watched her in Villians and was not impressed (she was great but the execution of the film was awful, good premise though, could’ve been great esp with Pennywise himself lol) but she was amazing in Tau! I know someone who was a fan of Downton Abbey and she didn't recognize Dan Stevens in Legion for the first half of the pilot. He's a really interesting actor, doesn't transform much physically but just to.
