 Virginia Woolf. Mrs. Dalloway is my favorite book, and it's not close. That shit fucking slaps. For someone more modern Cori Bush. In my area of expertise (math) Amie Wilkinson who is easily one of the greatest living mathematicians and Moon Duchin, who is using math to study and quantify gerrymandering so that we can hopefully, you know, reduce it.

A fictional character and probably not much of a big deal, but as a Star Wars fan, it’s been Ahsoka Tano for me. It’s been amazing and inspiring seeing her character develop from a young an inexperienced and proud Jedi parawan to a full fledged general capable of learning from their mistakes and being one of the most compassionate Jedi ever.A queen of a small indian kingdom whose name I can't recall at the moment. She took over after her husband's death, defying the horrific fate that awaited women whose husbands died back then. She then successfully defended her kingdom from British-allied local rivals by forming a female military unit, exploiting her neighbours' machismo and the social stigma against fighting women.
